What is an 'Ohana Foundation Ambassador?

As a key player, you are the first to hear about upcoming Foundation programs, awards, and giveaways.  You stay in the know about the application process and deadlines.  You are a Foundation representative on the resort front lines.  Responsible for communicating to your department teammates the services and offerings of the Foundation.

What does it take to be an Ambassador?

You will receive a quartely email from the Foundation with the upcoming programs and important information. You will read the email and share with your department the information or service deadlines for the programs and awards that would apply to your co-workers.

What do I get if I become an Ambssador?

You get the inside scoop on the new and exciting Foundation programs.  You get the feeling of satisfaction for helping out your co-worker who may not know about offerings that can enhance or improve their life.

Donor Policies

HUALĀLAI OHANA FOUNDATION POLICIES FOR DONOR PRIVACY

The purpose of this policy is to articulate the principles and actions to be followed by the Hualālai ‘Ohana Foundation.


Purpose:  

The purpose of this policy is to articulate the principles and actions to be followed by the Hualālai ‘Ohana Foundation (the “Foundation”) and the Foundation’s officers, members of the Board of Directors, employees, volunteers, and agents with regard to the security and privacy of any and all personal information collected, retained, and used by the Foundation that has been voluntarily submitted by individuals or entities that contribute money, time, services and/or resources (“Donors”).


Policy: 

This Donor Privacy Policy is intended to be applied in conjunction with related policies adopted by the Foundation and the Donor Bill of Rights attached hereto as Appendix “A.”


  1. All information concerning Donors, including, but not limited to, names, addresses, names of beneficiaries, nature and value of estates, and amounts of provisions or gifts, will remain strictly confidential, unless written permission to use selective information for purposes of referral, testimonial, example, recognition, publicity, or otherwise is first obtained.
  2. The Foundation will not sell, trade, or share the personal information of Donors, whether collected through its website, in-person, by phone, or through any other business activity.
  3. The Foundation will not contact Donors on behalf of any other organization.
  4. The Foundation will collect, use and share Donors’ personal information among employees and volunteers only on a need-to-know basis and for the sole purpose of carrying out the Foundation’s mission.
  5. The Foundation will use its best efforts to comply with the expressed wishes of Donors who prefer their gifts or services to remain anonymous.
  6. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, Donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
  7. The Foundation may use Donors’ personal information to protect against potential fraud, including verifying with third parties any information collected in the course of processing a gift, purchase or other donation.

The Foundation reserves the right to amend this Donor Privacy Policy from time to time.  


HUALĀLAI OHANA FOUNDATION POLICIES FOR DONOR OPT-OUT PRIVACY


Purpose:  

The purpose of this policy is to demonstrate the commitment of Hualālai Ohana Foundation (the “Foundation”) and the Foundation’s Officers, members of the Board of Directors, employees, volunteers, and agents to maintaining the security and privacy of any and all personal information collected, retained, and used by the Foundation that has been voluntarily submitted by individuals or entities that contribute money, time, services and/or resources (“Donors”).Policy:


This Donor Opt-Out Privacy Policy is intended to be applied in conjunction with related policies adopted by the Foundation, particularly the Donor Privacy Policy.


  1. The Foundation will allow Donors to opt-out of receiving future communications from the Foundation.
  2. The Foundation will give Donors the ability to expressly instruct the Foundation to keep their donation of gifts or services anonymous.
  3. Donors who desire to opt-out of receiving future communications from the Foundation or having their information shared by the Foundation may notify the Foundation of their decision to opt-out in one of the following ways. 
    1. Send notice of a decision to opt-out in via email to foundation.admin@gmail.com ; or
    2. Send notice of a decision to opt-out via postal mail to:

  1. The Foundation will honor all opt-out requests received from Donors.
  2. Opt-out changes may take up to six (6) to eight (8) weeks to be fully implemented.

The Foundation reserves the right to amend this Donor Opt-Out Privacy Policy from time to time.
