The Hualālai ‘Ohana Foundation offers a number of programs and awards that pave the way for a lifelong love of learning, literacy, geography and travel and educational advancement. We offer scholarships for Preschool, K-12 education as well as awards to incentivize student academic performance and good grades.
Awards are provided to assist full-time and part-time (more than 20 hours per week) employees and their immediate family (spouse, dependents) after one year of employment.
EMPLOYEES: Hualālai community employees who have worked on property for at least one year or have worked 1040 hours (part time) as of the date application is received.
DEFINITIONS: "Employee" is defined as anyone who has worked at Hualalai Resort for at least one year and includes employees of Hualālai Investors, LLC, the Four Seasons hotel, and any Hualālai Resort contractor, vendor or service provider.
The Foundation offers Preschool scholarships to eligible children of Hualalai Resort employees, contractors, service providers and vendors. Children must be 3 years old at time of application. Award amounts are determined by financial need and cost of tuition up to $3,850. There is no limit to the number of awards per family within the scholarship category.

Are you in search of a tutor for your child at home to support remote learning? Would you like to take a class to enhance your skills or career opportunities? This award can help provide greater economic stability for the whole family.
Our Educational Opportunities Award helps support a lifelong learning for the entire 'ohana including tutoring, financial literacy, and special interest programs. Award amounts range from 50-90% of costs of program. Please call our office with any questions about which award is best for you.

Age 5 to Kupuna
The Foundation provides Kindergarten through Grade 12 (K-12) scholarships to eligible children of Hualalai Resort employees, contractors, vendors and service providers.
Award amounts of up to $6,500 are based on financial need, academic merit and tuition cost for the year. No limit to number of awards per family within the scholarship category.

The Hualālai Ohana Foundation has partnered with the Scholastic Book Club to provide children grades K-8 with access to books over the summer months, reinforcing good learning habits.
Employees are invited to submit an application for their child to receive set of five (5) grade-appropriate books and entry to the Grand Prize Drawing.

Hualalai 'Ohana Foundation is an affiliate partner of The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The Imagination Library mails free high-quality, age-appropriate books to registered children.
These books are personalized with each child’s name and mailed directly to their home to create a gifting experience that makes books exciting and encourages families to spend time enjoying books together. Best of all, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is available to all children at no cost to the family.

Oh, the places you’ll go! Little Passports is an award-winning travel subscription box mailed to your child each month. Each package is designed to spark your child’s curiosity about the world so your keiki know the true meaning of wanderlust at an early age. Inspire children to learn about the world around them, one monthly package at a time.
This program is age-specific and developed by educators to encourage interest in geography, science, world discoveries and a life-long love of learning. 100% fun, kid-tested for maximum fun.

The Honor Roll Program celebrates academic achievement and good grades by providing cash awards. To apply, please submit your child’s report card along with the attached application by Friday, June 25, 2021. If your child’s school is not publishing grades for the 4th quarter, please submit your child’s 3rd quarter report card instead.
