Higher Education Scholarships

Opening Doors to Opportunity

 The Hualālai ‘Ohana Foundation offers a variety of Scholarships to support academic achievement and student success opportunities.  There are 3 types of scholarships including a Preschool through K-12 award, a Higher Education scholarship to support students attending colleges, vocational training programs and universities, and a new scholarship called the Hualalai 'Ohana Scholars.  The Hualalai 'Ohana Scholars award is a competitive scholarship designed for first generation college students who plan to attend a college or university here in Hawai'i.  

   
Awards are provided to assist full-time and part-time (more than 20 hours per week) employees and their immediate family (spouse, dependents) after six months of employment.  Students must be children of Hualalai Resort employees, contractors, vendors, service providers or hotel employees.  Dependent age cap is 24 years old.  Applicants are required to complete an EE verification form and submit with all applications.  Household income cap is $230,000 per year combined.  These awards open in January.

Higher Education Scholarships : College & Vocational Schools

  The Hualalai ‘Ohana Foundation offers college scholarships to students pursuing their higher education goals at a university or vocational school in Hawai'i or on the U.S. mainland.  Scholarships are granted on an annual basis and require applicants to re-apply each year.  GPA of 2.5.
