The Hualalai 'Ohana Foundation is committed to providing support for family economic stability. From keiki to kupuna, our lifelong learning & enrichment programs (LEAP) are here to inspire hope, encourage people to dream and help our local families thrive. Our LEAP programs include 3 different types of awards - the Lifelong Learning Award, the Technology for Education Award, and Keiki Literacy & Learning Subscriptions.
Awards are provided to assist full-time and part-time (more than 20 hours per week) employees and their immediate family (spouse, dependents) after one year of employment. Students must be children of Hualalai Resort employees, contractors, vendors, service providers or hotel employees. Dependent age cap is 24 years old. Applicants are required to complete an EE verification form and submit with all applications. Household income cap is $195,000 per year combined. The Lifelong Learning award is open January through November. The Technology Award and Keiki Literacy & Learning Award are open year-round.

The Foundation is proud to present the Keiki Literacy & Learning Award for 2022. This program is designed to provide flexible support in the form of learning subscriptions on an annual basis. Choose a subscription program that works best for your family in the form of child literacy subscriptions for books, travel subscription boxes, science kit subscriptions, hands-on learning kits and discovery play kits to inspire and engage. A few examples of eligible subscription programs supported by the Foundation include:
Dolly Parton Imagination Library (Keiki Ages 0-5 years):
Hualālai 'Ohana Foundation is an affiliate partner of The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The Imagination Library mails high-quality, age-appropriate books to registered children. These books are personalized with each child’s name and mailed directly to their home to create a gifting experience that makes books exciting and encourages families to spend time enjoying books together.
Little Passports (Keiki Ages 6-11 years)
Oh, the places you’ll go! Little Passports is an award-winning travel subscription box mailed to your child each month. Each package is designed to spark your child’s curiosity about the world so your keiki know the true meaning of wanderlust at an early age. Inspire children to learn about the world around them, one monthly package at a time. This program is age-specific and developed by educators to encourage interest in geography, science, world discoveries and a life-long love of learning. 100% fun, kid-tested for maximum fun.
