The Hualalai 'Ohana Foundation is committed to providing support for family economic stability. From keiki to kupuna, our lifelong learning & enrichment programs (LEAP) are here to inspire hope, encourage people to dream and help our local families thrive. Our LEAP programs include 3 different types of awards - the Lifelong Learning Award, the Technology for Education Award, and Keiki Literacy & Learning Subscriptions.
Awards are provided to assist full-time and part-time (more than 20 hours per week) employees and their immediate family (spouse, dependents) after six months of employment. Students must be children of Hualalai Resort employees, contractors, vendors, service providers or hotel employees. Dependent age cap is 24 years old. Applicants are required to complete an EE verification form and submit with all applications. Household income cap is $230,000 per year combined. The LEAP Awards are open January through October 31 of each year.

The Technology for Education Award provides support in the form of computers, routers, printers and accessories to support remote learning at home. Award amounts range from $500 for a family with 2 keiki to $800 for a family with 5 keiki. Proof of enrollment and report card is required.

The Lifelong Learning Award provides financial support for skills development in the form of coursework, tutoring and off-island learning. Awards range from up to $1,000 to up to $3,000.

The Keiki Literacy & Learning Award is designed to inspire a love of reading and grow child literacy within Hualalai's workforce 'ohana keiki.
